I bought the Garmin Oregon 300 last week while back in the UK for a brief visit as I live in Spain. Got to play with it while in the UK and learn about the things it can do. I am really impressed with several features of it. I especially like the fact that when you download a cache it also includes the notes so no more having to carry printouts around - though I have to translate the Spanish notes so still have to carry those.

I first became aware of the Garmin Oregon 300 during the Tour de France cycle race. Team Garmin-Chipotle rider David Miller was using one to measure his Heart Rate and the Bike Cadence.
