Can I sell my geocoins on ukgeocachers.co.uk

Written by Kathrine

Sell your geocoins on our site

We offer a very successfull sales service to anyone who has had a geocoin minted. Let us take the hassle out of packaging and distributing your geocoins.

How does it work? Well for a modest fee of only 15p per coin plus associated expenses we can take the headache out of packaging up coins, standing in long Post Office lines and having to buy your own packaging materials.

We source packaging materials in bulk so can get them in very cheaply, we also have a proven track record of offering this service to others. In the past we have assisted in the sale of the D'arcy geocoins and all of the Lancashire geocoins together with some Wykenwizard geocoins. We have a lot of traffic and in particular lots of geocoin collectors keep an eye on our site looking for new coins and as we ship globally there is a huge market out there looking for your geocoin.

So how does it work?

It really is incredibly simple, as we said earlier the service will cost you justy 15p per geocoin plus shipping and sales expenses. An example of these expenses are shown below:

Item Value Remarks
Price of the coin
(A)
£8.00 We sell geocoins with free P&P

VAT @17.5% £1.19 We have to charge VAT on sales
Postage £0.47 Royal Mail Second Class
Packaging £0.15 Padded Envelope, Invoice & Address Label
Fee £0.15 Our Labour Charge
FeePaypal fees £0.43 is £0.20 + 2.9% of sale price
Total expenses :
(B)
£2.39 This is all the costs above added together

You get back :
(C)
£5.61 Which is the sale price less the expenses above. C = A - B

What now?

Just get in touch with us to let us give you an accurate prediction of what you will get back for the sale of your coin. You tell us how much to sell it for (remembering the free P&P) and we can let you know how much you would get back from the sale of each geocoin after our expenses are covered and we take our 15p fee.

You decide how often we pay you and how we should do so. Available options are UK Cheque, Paypal or Nochex. Please bear in mind that Paypal or Nochex will charge you a fee to receive a payment from us and you will be liable for that and not us.

How we guarantee payment security

Written by Kathrine

Payment Security

Paying for goods online is a major concern for many people. The biggest fraud type in the UK is card-not-present fraud, which cost £183.2m in 2005. Using your credit or debit card online is often a worrying process as unless you are using one of the big shops you cannot guarantee the level of security that the site you are on uses.

We use third party payment providers for all of our card transactions and offer a selection to choose from. Global customers can pick from either Paypal or Nochex whilst UK customers have the added benefit of also being able to pay by UK cheque or over the phone as we have a Streamline payment terminal.

By using thrid party payment solutions we can ensure that we are not privy to your card information at any stage of the payment process as you will move from our site to either the Paypal or Nochex site to enter your payment details. Using this system we can rely on their sophisticated security measures to ensure the privacy of your data and you can rest assuresd that no-one has access to your information. If paying over the phone your card details are entered directly into the payment terminal  - we don't ever note them down anywhere for your security.

Online Payment Options

Additional Options Nochex - Online Payment Services

Both paypal and Nochex offer secure credit card payment systems. Most interenet users will be familiar with paypal and you can use your paypal account to pay for goods on our site or use your card details to pay for an order.

Nochex is a UK payment system similar in principle to paypal, the added benefit for you is that you can use debit cards and switch cards with this service.

Both sites use cutting edge security techniques and both are regulated by financial regulatory authorities who oversee their security measures.

Offline Payment Options

You can place your order online and select to pay via your card over the phone. This is the fastest offline payment solution that we offer, the other alternative is to pay by a UK Cheque made out to Blue Spaniel (our company name).

Can I place my order over the phone?

Written by Kathrine

Telephone Payments

We accept payments over the phone using our Streamline terminal. We accept all UK debit cards together with Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
We ask customers to place their order online as usual and then during the check out process they can select to pay over the phone. This is the most efficient way to process a telephone paid order. By processing your order online yourself you are guaranteed to find the items in stock as our shop does not display products that are out of stock.
Once you confirm your order the stock you have selected is then ring-fenced for you so that no-one else can buy it and you will receive an e-mail with payment instructions in it. You then simply give us a call and we take payment over the phone.
The number to call is +44(0)1335 301266 and our normal hours of operation are 9:00 am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm and 10:00am to 5:00pm Saturdays.
When you call with your card details they are entered directly into the payment terminal and we don't write them down or record them anywhere in line with current card company guidelines.

Failed Checkout

If your order times out whilst you are at the Paypal or Nochex payment gateway and your order failed, do not fear. When you click the 'Confirm Order' button on the checkout confirmation page and are transfered to either Paypal or Nochex your order gets saved on our system just incase you have just a problem.
This means that the products are put to one side for you and taken out of stock. You might see that if you try to checkout again you can't as something that you had in your basket may be out of stock now.
As the stock is reserved for you all you have to do is simply drop us an e-mail or give us a call to arrange for payment. You can either send funds via Paypal or Nochex equal to the value of your order or you can pay over the phone by card.
Our phone number is +44(0)1335 301266 and my normal hours of operation are 9am - 4pm Mon-Thurs, Fri 9am - 5pm and 10am-5pm Saturday. I do check my e-mails in the evenings so just drop me a note through my contact page.
We hold stalled orders on the system for 24 hours before releasing the stock again to give you time to get in touch if you still want to go ahead with the purchase.

Can I collect my order?

Written by Kathrine

Store Collections

We'd be delighted to have you drop in for a chat and to collect your order. We now have a new shipping option available and that's: "Store Pickup: No shipping charge added. Pickup during regular business hours."

By default, it isn't available on our site as lots of people have selected it in error and this just delays their order. However we can activate it when required. So if you want to use it to reserve goods online before coming in to see us just give us a call or drop us an e-mail and we can let you know when we have activated it for you.

We are open 9am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday  10am and 5pm. If you are near the start or end of our working days it's best to ring before you make the trip - that way we can make sure that we are still around.

We look forward to seeing you soon at Ashbourne in Derbyshire.

Why is delivery slower than usual for GPS accessories?

Written by Kathrine

GPS Accessories

We don't physically hold many GPS accessories in stock and so order them as and when needed by our customers, this allows us to offer the cheapest prices on a wide range of products.
To keep costs low we place a weekly order with our supplier for GPS accessories and that is why we ask customers to be patient and to allow for 7-14 days shipping for UK orders. International orders will take about a week longer than our usual service. Usually accessories arrive just a day later than our usual shipping service.
We considered this option long and hard and as it keeps out costs down and therefore the price down we feel that it is a good system to use.
If you order a GPS that order is placed immediately with our supplier and once we receive the goods they are dispatched to you by the fastest possible means.
