Geocoins (2)These are the most common questions that we get asked pertaining to geocoins. View items...( 0 Votes ) Postage & Packaging Costs We have had a few enquiries regarding our postage costs. To try and offer the best postage and packaging costs we do not have a flat rate, instead the cost will depend on the items you purchase, so that if you only buy a sticker you will not pay the same price as someone who buys a ready made cache. You can find out how much the postage and packaging will cost by putting your items in the basket. Then go into your basket by clicking on "Your shopping Cart Contains" and scroll down the page where you will see a box entitled "Shipping Options". Select the country where the items will be sent, and the postcode, then click on the recalculate button. You will then be shown the various shipping methods available and their costs. Payment SecurityPaying for goods online is a major concern for many people. The biggest fraud type in the UK is card-not-present fraud, which cost £183.2m in 2005. Using your credit or debit card online is often a worrying process as unless you are using one of the big shops you cannot guarantee the level of security that the site you are on uses. We use third party payment providers for all of our card transactions and offer a selection to choose from. Global customers can pick from either Paypal or Nochex whilst UK customers have the added benefit of also being able to pay by UK cheque or over the phone as we have a Streamline payment terminal. By using thrid party payment solutions we can ensure that we are not privy to your card information at any stage of the payment process as you will move from our site to either the Paypal or Nochex site to enter your payment details. Using this system we can rely on their sophisticated security measures to ensure the privacy of your data and you can rest assuresd that no-one has access to your information. If paying over the phone your card details are entered directly into the payment terminal - we don't ever note them down anywhere for your security. Online Payment OptionsBoth paypal and Nochex offer secure credit card payment systems. Most interenet users will be familiar with paypal and you can use your paypal account to pay for goods on our site or use your card details to pay for an order. Nochex is a UK payment system similar in principle to paypal, the added benefit for you is that you can use debit cards and switch cards with this service. Both sites use cutting edge security techniques and both are regulated by financial regulatory authorities who oversee their security measures. Offline Payment OptionsYou can place your order online and select to pay via your card over the phone. This is the fastest offline payment solution that we offer, the other alternative is to pay by a UK Cheque made out to Blue Spaniel (our company name).

My order failed during the checkout process, can I still have the order?Written by KathrineFailed CheckoutIf your order times out whilst you are at the Paypal or Nochex payment gateway and your order failed, do not fear. When you click the 'Confirm Order' button on the checkout confirmation page and are transfered to either Paypal or Nochex your order gets saved on our system just incase you have just a problem.
This means that the products are put to one side for you and taken out of stock. You might see that if you try to checkout again you can't as something that you had in your basket may be out of stock now.
As the stock is reserved for you all you have to do is simply drop us an e-mail or give us a call to arrange for payment. You can either send funds via Paypal or Nochex equal to the value of your order or you can pay over the phone by card.
Our phone number is +44(0)1335 301266 and my normal hours of operation are 9am - 4pm Mon-Thurs, Fri 9am - 5pm and 10am-5pm Saturday. I do check my e-mails in the evenings so just drop me a note through my contact page.
We hold stalled orders on the system for 24 hours before releasing the stock again to give you time to get in touch if you still want to go ahead with the purchase.

Shipping Questions
Export OrdersBlue Spaniel (http://www.ukgeocachers.co.uk) is a United Kingdom of Great Britain (UK) based retailer. We are happy to ship goods overseas, however we would like to point out some of the problems that may occur. Here are some general notes which answer the most commonly made enquiries regarding sending goods to countries outside of the UK.
CostAll our prices are in UK pounds sterling (£ - this symbol may not show up on your computer or may show up as a question mark (?)). You can select to view prices in two other currencies - Euros and US$. These are an approximate price. Goods are charged at the rate that applies at the moment our bank processes the order, not at the moment you place it. To check the approximate exchange rate click here http://www.xe.com/.
Non-EEC, EEC & VAT For countries within the European Economic Comunity (EEC) the prices are as shown, plus you will have to pay postage (see below). Current (as of May 2004) member countries of the EEC are:
For all non-EEC Countries, (ie any not on the list above, and also the Channel Islands): as a non-EEC citizen, you will not have to pay UK Value Added Tax (VAT). This tax is included in our prices shown and is currently 15%. It applies to all items except children's clothing, books and maps. The price will drop during the checkout process as long as your billing and shipping adresses are outside of the EEC. Often this price reduction will more or less equal the cost of shipping.
Be aware however that you may have to pay import duty &/or VAT when importing goods into your own country. Also your credit card company may charge you a fee for foreign currency transactions. Blue Spaniel cannot be held responsible for any such charges. Shipping CostsWe currently offer two postal option for overseas orders, both use Airmail as we believe that you will want your goods as quickly as possible. The first option is simply Airmail and the second is Airmail international Signed For Service. If you opt for Airmail then your order will ship with no insurance and we cannot be held responsible for any packages that go missing in the postal system. We obtain proof of postage that you are willing to use if you need to chase up an order through your postal system. Airmail International Signed for is a much more secure shipping system, it is insured and the recipient must sign for the package. The extra costs for this service are well worth it for simple peace of mind.

Shipping Questions
GPS ShippingAt the moment we only sell GPS units to UK customers, this is due to the high costs involved with shipping and insuring these high value items for delivery abroad. When you consider the customs fees on top of shipping you will appreciate that it isn't viable to ship them abroad. So at the moment its UK customers only for our GPS units. We may revisit this decision at a later date though.
