Postage and Packaging Prices

Postage & Packaging Costs

We have had a few enquiries regarding our postage costs.  To try and offer the best postage and packaging costs we do not have a flat rate, instead the cost will depend on the items you purchase, so that if you only buy a sticker you will not pay the same price as someone who buys a ready made cache.

You can find out how much the postage and packaging will cost by putting your items in the basket.  Then go into your basket by clicking on "Your shopping Cart Contains" and scroll down the page where you will see a box entitled "Shipping Options".

Select the country where the items will be sent, and the postcode, then click on the recalculate button.

You will then be shown the various shipping methods available and their costs.

Do you ship goods abroad?

Written by Kathrine

Export Orders

Blue Spaniel (http://www.ukgeocachers.co.uk) is a United Kingdom of Great Britain (UK) based retailer. We are happy to ship goods overseas, however we would like to point out some of the problems that may occur. Here are some general notes which answer the most commonly made enquiries regarding sending goods to countries outside of the UK.

Cost

All our prices are in UK pounds sterling (£ - this symbol may not show up on your computer or may show up as a question mark (?)). You can select to view prices in two other currencies - Euros and US$. These are an approximate price. Goods are charged at the rate that applies at the moment our bank processes the order, not at the moment you place it. To check the approximate exchange rate click here http://www.xe.com/.

Non-EEC, EEC & VAT For countries within the European Economic Comunity (EEC) the prices are as shown, plus you will have to pay postage (see below). Current (as of May 2004) member countries of the EEC are:
Austria
Germany
Netherlands
Belgium
Greece
Poland
Bulgaria
Hungary
Portugal
Cyprus
Ireland
Romania
Czech Republic
Italy
Slovakia
Denmark
Latvia
Slovenia
Estonia
Lithuania
Spain
Finland
Luxembourg
Sweden
France
Malta
United Kingdom

(not inc Channel Islands)
For all non-EEC Countries, (ie any not on the list above, and also the Channel Islands): as a non-EEC citizen, you will not have to pay UK Value Added Tax (VAT). This tax is included in our prices shown and is currently 15%. It applies to all items except children's clothing, books and maps. The price will drop during the checkout process as long as your billing and shipping adresses are outside of the EEC. Often this price reduction will more or less equal the cost of shipping.

Be aware however that you may have to pay import duty &/or VAT when importing goods into your own country. Also your credit card company may charge you a fee for foreign currency transactions. Blue Spaniel cannot be held responsible for any such charges.

Shipping Costs

We currently offer two postal option for overseas orders, both use Airmail as we believe that you will want your goods as quickly as possible. The first option is simply Airmail and the second is Airmail international Signed For Service. If you opt for Airmail then your order will ship with no insurance and we cannot be held responsible for any packages that go missing in the postal system. We obtain proof of postage that you are willing to use if you need to chase up an order through your postal system. Airmail International Signed for is a much more secure shipping system, it is insured and the recipient must sign for the package. The extra costs for this service are well worth it for simple peace of mind.

Why do you only ship GPS units to the UK?

Written by Kathrine

GPS Shipping

At the moment we only sell GPS units to UK customers, this is due to the high costs involved with shipping and insuring these high value items for delivery abroad. When you consider the customs fees on top of shipping you will appreciate that it isn't viable to ship them abroad.
So at the moment its UK customers only for our GPS units. We may revisit this decision at a later date though.
