Shipping Questions
Shipping Questions (5)Answers to some of the shipping questions that we get asked. Store CollectionsWe'd be delighted to have you drop in for a chat and to collect your order. We now have a new shipping option available and that's: "Store Pickup: No shipping charge added. Pickup during regular business hours." By default, it isn't available on our site as lots of people have selected it in error and this just delays their order. However we can activate it when required. So if you want to use it to reserve goods online before coming in to see us just give us a call or drop us an e-mail and we can let you know when we have activated it for you. We are open 9am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 10am and 5pm. If you are near the start or end of our working days it's best to ring before you make the trip - that way we can make sure that we are still around. We look forward to seeing you soon at Ashbourne in Derbyshire.

Why is delivery slower than usual for GPS accessories?Written by KathrineGPS AccessoriesWe don't physically hold many GPS accessories in stock and so order them as and when needed by our customers, this allows us to offer the cheapest prices on a wide range of products.
To keep costs low we place a weekly order with our supplier for GPS accessories and that is why we ask customers to be patient and to allow for 7-14 days shipping for UK orders. International orders will take about a week longer than our usual service. Usually accessories arrive just a day later than our usual shipping service.
We considered this option long and hard and as it keeps out costs down and therefore the price down we feel that it is a good system to use.
If you order a GPS that order is placed immediately with our supplier and once we receive the goods they are dispatched to you by the fastest possible means.

Export OrdersBlue Spaniel (http://www.ukgeocachers.co.uk) is a United Kingdom of Great Britain (UK) based retailer. We are happy to ship goods overseas, however we would like to point out some of the problems that may occur. Here are some general notes which answer the most commonly made enquiries regarding sending goods to countries outside of the UK.
CostAll our prices are in UK pounds sterling (£ - this symbol may not show up on your computer or may show up as a question mark (?)). You can select to view prices in two other currencies - Euros and US$. These are an approximate price. Goods are charged at the rate that applies at the moment our bank processes the order, not at the moment you place it. To check the approximate exchange rate click here http://www.xe.com/.
Non-EEC, EEC & VAT For countries within the European Economic Comunity (EEC) the prices are as shown, plus you will have to pay postage (see below). Current (as of May 2004) member countries of the EEC are:
For all non-EEC Countries, (ie any not on the list above, and also the Channel Islands): as a non-EEC citizen, you will not have to pay UK Value Added Tax (VAT). This tax is included in our prices shown and is currently 15%. It applies to all items except children's clothing, books and maps. The price will drop during the checkout process as long as your billing and shipping adresses are outside of the EEC. Often this price reduction will more or less equal the cost of shipping.
Be aware however that you may have to pay import duty &/or VAT when importing goods into your own country. Also your credit card company may charge you a fee for foreign currency transactions. Blue Spaniel cannot be held responsible for any such charges. Shipping CostsWe currently offer two postal option for overseas orders, both use Airmail as we believe that you will want your goods as quickly as possible. The first option is simply Airmail and the second is Airmail international Signed For Service. If you opt for Airmail then your order will ship with no insurance and we cannot be held responsible for any packages that go missing in the postal system. We obtain proof of postage that you are willing to use if you need to chase up an order through your postal system. Airmail International Signed for is a much more secure shipping system, it is insured and the recipient must sign for the package. The extra costs for this service are well worth it for simple peace of mind.

Shipping Questions
GPS ShippingAt the moment we only sell GPS units to UK customers, this is due to the high costs involved with shipping and insuring these high value items for delivery abroad. When you consider the customs fees on top of shipping you will appreciate that it isn't viable to ship them abroad. So at the moment its UK customers only for our GPS units. We may revisit this decision at a later date though.
